About 'university of florida vet school'|I'm officially going to vet school!!!








The               Rome               Veterinary               Center,               PC               is               located               in               the               rural               small               town               of               Rome,               Pennsylvania               which               is               located               in               the               heart               of               the               Endless               Mountains.

Rome               Vet               Center               is               a               local               vet               center               that               takes               care               of               large               and               small               animals               in               the               surrounding               area.

They               have               a               commitment               to               the               people               and               the               animals               to               help               bring               quality               medication               to               those               who               need               it               the               most.

Rome               Vet               Center               has               been               in               the               business               since               1920               helping               animals               in               need.

They               want               to               make               sure               that               all               the               farmers,               the               farm               animals,               and               small               animal               owners               have               all               their               needs               met               with               the               vet               practice.

The               Rome               Vet               Center               has               a               history               that               is               long,               colorful,               and               proud.

Stoll               was               the               original               founder               of               the               Rome               Vet               Center               and               he               had               a               long               and               colorful               career               in               this               area.

He               was               in               the               business               for               over               fifty               four               years               and               has               since               retired               from               the               business.

He               was               going               to               follow               a               career               in               chemical               engineering               but               during               the               second               semester               at               Mansfield               State               College,               formally               known               as               Mansfield               Normal               School,               he               changed               his               major               to               wanting               to               become               a               vet.

He               also               changed               schools               to               go               to               the               University               of               Pennsylvania               to               the               Department               of               Veterinary               Medicine.

He               would               graduate               in               1916               and               start               work               in               the               Rome               area               at               the               age               of               twenty               three.

His               practice               proved               to               be               very               successful               in               the               rural               area               and               he               started               to               expand               his               practice.

At               this               time,               most               of               what               he               did               was               horses               that               he               most               treated               since               farmers               tended               to               take               care               of               their               own               animals.

These               days,               however,               the               business               has               expanded               from               just               horses               to               all               farm               animals               and               small               animals,               such               as               dogs               and               cats.
               It               would               be               after               World               War               II               that               a               Doctor               Leonard               J.

Abell               would               join               Doctor               Stoll               in               the               practice.

In               1954,               Doctor               Stoll's               son,               Robert,               would               join               them               in               the               practice.

Doctor               Stoll               would               go               into               semi               retirement               in               1967               and               in               1970               he               would               be               leave               the               practice,               only               working               when               the               associates               would               go               on               vacation.

It               would               be               later               that               the               Laudermilch               family               took               over               the               running               of               the               practice               and               have               continued               what               Doctor               Stoll               started.

Laudermilch,               VMD               -               Graduated               from               the               University               of               Pennsylvania               in               1979.

He               has               been               practicing               in               Rome               since               he               graduated.

He               has               also               been               a               shareholder               in               the               practice               since               1980.
               Vice               President/Secretary:               Benjamin               S.

Laudermilch,               DVM               -               Graduated               from               Virginia-Maryland               Regional               College               of               Veterinary               Medicine               in               2007.

Started               practicing               in               Rome               after               graduation               and               has               been               a               practice               owner               since               2008.
               Associates:
               Brian               W.

Arnold,               DVM               -               A               Cornell               University               graduate               and               has               been               practicing               in               Rome               since               2001.
               Taylor               C.

Boone,               DVM               -               Doctor               Boone               graduated               from               University               of               Tennessee               in               2009               and               is               one               of               two               newest               associates.

It               was               in               2005               that               she               finished               her               graduate               degree               at               Virginia               Tech.

She               was               raised               in               Jacksonville,               Florida               and               is               said               to               be               excited               to               have               joined               the               Rome               Vet               Practice.
               Doctor               Karen               M.

Hale               -               Graduated               from               the               University               of               Edinburgh               in               Scotland               in               2009.

She               went               to               Houghton               College               in               Houghton,               New               York               for               her               undergraduate               studies.

She               is               from               Albany,               New               York,               but               has               been               studying               in               Scotland               for               the               last               five               years.

It               is               said               that               she               is               excited               to               coming               to               work               for               Rome               Vet               Center.
               Employees:
               Tina               Laudermilch               -               Tina               is               a               registered               nurse               and               has               had               training               to               be               a               veterinary               assistant               so               she               can               help               in               assisting               with               the               small               animals,               their               surgeries,               and               scheduling               appointments.

She               has               been               in               the               employ               of               Rome               vet               for               twenty               five               years.

She               has               been               a               technician               for               the               last               ten               years.
               Madelyn               -               Rome               Vet's               head               secretary               and               has               worked               for               the               clinic               for               five               years.

She               is               the               one               that               you               call               for               large               animals               to               place               appointments               emergencies,               and               any               other               information.
               Ruth               Carrington               -               Ruth               has               worked               for               the               Rome               Vet               as               a               secretary               for               the               last               thirty               years.

She               is               now               an               assistant               Secretary               and               helps               with               the               scheduling               for               the               large               and               small               animals.
               Hannah               -               the               newest               employee               who               has               been               working               for               Rome               Vet               for               about               a               year.

She               is               currently               training               to               become               a               veterinary               technician,               while               she               is               helping               out               at               the               clinic.
               Rome               Vet               is               equipped               with               their               own               state               of               the               art               equipment               and               are               able               to               do               their               own               blood               work,               and               other               major               things               that               a               Vet               is               equipped               with.

They               are               also               accepting               applications               for               various               positions               and               if               you               are               interested,               you               can               go               to               their               website               and               see               what               they               require               and               contact               them.

Everyday               the               vets               take               of               the               large               animals               that               are               in               need               of               their               services.

They               do               except               appointments               on               Wednesdays               for               the               small               animals               who               are               in               need               of               appointments.
